Hey there Gael fans, its been a while since my last entry and a lot has happened since my last entry. As everyone knows we beat our long standing enemy the Western Mustangs in a come from behind win. That was probably one of the more exciting games I've been a part of since becoming a Gael. The atmosphere was loud and intense and nothing was better than hearing the silence that followed Giffs touchdown.
Last week we also had a comeback win against the Guelph gryphons. To be honest the game was fairly sloppy and should never have been as tight a game as it was. If we want to have a great year this year we are going to have to do better than that.
This week we have a huge game coming up against MAC. Since I have been here they have always had a strong team and this year will be no different. That isn't to say that we aren't expecting big things on the weekend, because we are looking, as always, to keep our undefeated streak intact, so I hope any Gael fans that can make it will be there, or at least listen in on the radio.
Another note is that we are ranked no. 10 in the country and we haven't been ranked in the top 10 since 2004. This has all the guys on the team excited to finally see that some people are paying attention to the kind of quality team we have. Giffin has had a couple back to back 100+ yard games on the ground, and if he could stay off the cheeseburgers he might get a couple more. But as always I can't wait for Saturday, and hopefully I'll see you all there!!

Training Camp & McGill
The past week has been great and terrible at the same time. After having been in many training camps you know what to expect, but for some reason it never really gets any easier. Everyday seems like it starts earlier and earlier, and everyday you become more tired from the constant pounding on your body. Although we have a ton of new talented recruits this year, nothing around the team has changed all that much, still the same bunch of jokers ready to win some football games. I'm actually pretty excited to see what this young DB from Puerto Viarta can do for our passing defence, he has a pretty good handle on the system even though he struggles with the language barrier (sorry Botting). The game with McGill was interesting because we really had no idea what they would bring. They come from a different conference and from what we'd seen they had given Laval a good run last year, so it was pretty encouraging to see that we managed to take over the game with all the different players that played. The real test will be going to London to play some Monday night football with the 'stangs, but if we keep going the way we're going it'll end up the same.
